Welcome ‘Billy and Charene’ to Boise!

We are so excited to be in the Treasure Valley. Billy and Charene here, and you'll be hearing more of us on Mix 106. Lets start having some fun.

We have been doing a morning show for about 4 years together. Let us tell you more!

          Hi Boise, my name is Billy Jenkins and I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to read this. As I'm sure you can understand, I am very excited to be here in the Treasure Valley and excited to be part of the new morning team on Mix 106.

With my wife Savannah and 2 rescue dogs (Koda & Gypsy) we have purchased a home in Nampa and we have loved every second of being here so far. Boise and the Treasure Valley is growing so fast and there is so much going on, I feel very fortunate to be here and be a part of it.

Some of my passions other than radio are traveling and trying out new things, I cannot get over all of the delicious food in and around Boise. Whether it's the tremendous food trucks or trying out Barbacoa for the first time, it's easy to see why people fall in love with Boise so quickly.

The dog parks here are amazing which is great because we normally go multiple times a week, and there is also a fun nightlife in Boise. Having lived in a big town like Seattle, WA and most recently a smaller city Missoula, MT I think Boise and the Treasure Valley is the perfect mix of big city excitement with the comfortable small town feel.

Okay, I'm done rambling but know I am very excited to be here and spend time with you and my morning show partner Charene each morning while playing Today's Best Mix on Mix 106.

     Mix nation! I'm Charene Herrera A.K.A Charene the Adventure Queen. I spend a lot of my time on adventures. Fly fishing and archery hunting are two of my favorite things to do. I love the Pittsburgh Steelers, enjoy live sports, love acting and dressing up as. I am getting more into the home projects as I get older and I've always enjoyed painting as a light hobby.

I've already hit up the bike path and had some fun finding gluten free water which you can read more about on my blog : "Newbie to Boise"
