Video of Flagstaff Police Officer Shooting Released

(caution video may be very disturbing for some people)

The video of the police officer who was shot and killed during a domestic disturbance call in Flagstaff Arizona last month has finally been released.  This video is disturbing and even though it doesn't show the actual shooting, it is still disturbing

The video shows the suspect who seems very calm and very docile while talking with the officer, but in a split second that changes.

If you ever wonder why or are upset about why some police officers act so quickly and in some instances with what seems like too much force, this video may change your mind.

I have friends and family members who are police officers, and I could not do their jobs.

With everything in the news about Ferguson police force and what happened in that shooting incident, plus the ambush of the 2 police officers in Brooklyn recently, it's always interesting to me when I hear people say, but they could have just shot them in the arm or leg to get them to slow down, they didn't have to shoot to kill.

The number one goal of every officer is to go home to their families every night, and they don't have time to make a decision to shoot to injure.

I know that there are some bad police officers out there, but in talking with good police officers that I know, some of whom have been involved in shoot outs, you don't have time to think when you are in that situation.  You have to react, and react fast, because it's the officer's life who is at stake or maybe even the lives of other innocent people.  Hopefully the training that you receive will save your life so that you can go home to your family at night.

I now have a son who is contemplating becoming a police officer as a career and let me tell you, that while I support his decision, it scares the hell out of me.
