Dancing with the Stars comes to the Treasure Valley on March 15th at the Morrison Center. One of the Stars of the TV show, Val Chmerkovskiy, was on the Mix Morning show with Mike and Nicole and talked about his new book, dating Jenna Johnson and the upcoming season of Dancing with The Stars.

ABOUT VAL CHMERKOVSKIY

Valentin "Val" Chmerkovskiy was born in Ukraine, immigrated to the United States at the age of eight, and grew up in Brooklyn. He is the first American to have won two IDSF World Championships. He is also a fourteen-time US National Champion, and something that a lot of fans don’t know is that he’s also a classically trained violinist,

Val is a co-founder and creative director at Dance with Me Studios, a national chain of dance studios, which he co-founded with his brother and fellow DWTS pro, Maks.

Most recently, Val won the Season 23 Mirror ball Trophy with Olympian Laurie Hernandez.

Viewers of America's hit TV show Dancing with the Stars already know Valentin "Val" Chmerkovskiy as a fan-favorite ballroom dancer and heartthrob. And while he has captivated fans since his first performance on the show in 2011, there is a lot more to Val than just Dancing.

He’s also an author with a new called I'LL NEVER CHANGE MY NAME. In his book, Val speaks warmly of his close-knit family and shares intimate and inspiring stories meant to offer hope and motivation not only to fans, but to everyone with a dream.
