Treefort Music Fest Kicks Off With Launch Parties This Weekend

From humble beginnings to one of the most highly anticipated festivals of the entire year, Treefort Music Fest is almost here. Treefort Music Fest officially begins March 21st, but if you can't wait until then, check out the official kickoff parties happening in downtown Boise this weekend.

The festival started out in 2012 with 137 bands all coming through one venue in the course of four days. Treefort has definitely grown since then and many new "forts" have popped up as well, including Skatefort, Yogafort, and Storyfort.

This year, the fun continues with local bands from the Pacific Northwest all the way to London. Can't wait for Treefort? Check out these launch parties happening this weekend:

Treefort 2018 Launch Party - This all-ages launch party at the Basque Center (601 W Grove Street, Boise) will be held this Friday, February 9th. Doors open at 6 p.m. with music from La Mesia Negra, Kulululu, and local rapper Madison Proof. Tickets are $15 with Treefort Music Fest 5 Day Passholders receiving $5 off. Info here.

Yogafort Launch Party - After a night at the Treefort Music Fest Launch, you'll want to calm your mind and body. Check out the Yogafort Launch at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 10th at JUMP in downtown Boise. Kristin McGee and DJ Effy K will host a yoga workshop and Chrystalina will lead a crystal bowl meditation. This all-ages party is $27 per person. Bring your own yoga mat. Info here.

There will also be a launch party for Storyfort later in the month in Ketchum.

The Storyfort Two-Day Launch Party will be held at the Hot Water Inn in Ketchum, Idaho on February 23rd and 24th. Featuring stories, live music, comedy, and more, this weekend is a perfect getaway for those 21 and over. More information will be released prior to the event. More information here.
