Last year, the Women's March Idaho was both a march and rally that ended up with an estimated crowd of 6000 at the State Capitol.  This year's rally was another big success.

Though likely with a few less in the crowd, thousands did again gather on a brisk Idaho morning at the Capitol to listen to music, speakers, and connect a variety of causes or perspectives in a gathering celebrating the power and potential of women in our community.

There were messages and signature drives for various causes including DACA, Medicaid, and various community groups and organizations.  Speakers celebrated the fact that this moment in Idaho had been started last year (and again organized this year) by high school students who decided to make an impact and difference.

There were families, friends, and those who shared ideologies and those who were engaged in learning more about the causes closest to those who they were gathered with.

Organizers had said they hoped to see 1000 participants at the rally this year, though it seemed clear that number had been exceeded.  They also said that they hoped to focus less on the Trump Administration (as had been the primary rallying point last year) and more on the opportunities and needs in Idaho.
