I have the perfect way to have Sunday Funday! It involves a tiny road trip with gorgeous scenery, a swimsuit and a love of clams!

I took a field trip yesterday to The Springs, Hot Springs Resort at Idaho City. I had heard about the old hot springs that used to be there but it closed before I moved here. I love to snowshoe above Idaho City and the thought of being able to soak my sore legs after a hike through the snow. Instead of doing all the work of lifting one foot in front of the other through snow, I skipped that part and went straight to The Springs!

It's only 40 minutes north of Boise and a very pretty drive. I must admit, I have been to a lot of hot springs. I am always up for a soak. And the split between natural and commercial is about the same so when I say, I was fully impressed with The Springs you can be confident in knowing this was not my first rodeo. The check in area was gorgeous. The staff is super friendly. The dressing rooms are clean (very important when getting naked) and the pools were so relaxing. The panoramic view of white capped mountains with pine tress coming right up to the edge of the property was breath taking! Another perk was that at The Springs, they have servers! They bring ice cold beers right up to the edge of the pool for you. There is also a food yurt and a steam room yurt. The price was very reasonable. And Wednesday night's is date night! I can't wait to go back (on a Wednesday)! My Sunday Funday wasn't done though.

On the way home, we made a stop at Ben's Crow Inn, for a bucket of clams and a cold beer. That is the cherry on top of an already perfect day! If you are looking for a fun field trip  then check out The Springs and stop in to Ben's Crow Inn on the way home!
