Camping to me is pretty scary at night without the thought of being at a campground that might be haunted. Apparently this Idaho State Park has had many sightings of a ghostly military apparition....you know..a ghost. And Holy crap, I've actually been here in the past.

I've actually been to this state park with my family when I was a kid. Thank gawd, I didn't know about the ghostly figures then or I would never have gone.

Farragut State Park is one of Idaho’s best recreation and vacation areas. During the day a vision of beauty and serenity, but after sunset in the heavily forested northern corner of Lake Pend Oreille, this state park and campground, according to numerous visitors and campers gets a little spooky. (Think Blair Witch Project)

Some locals say it's because of the location’s unique history. From 1942 to 1946, over 290,000 young sailors who were trained and housed here, Farragut was also a fortress-like German POW site where numerous prisoners have passed away.

Nobody is quite certain who (or what) is haunting the park and its campsites. Most campers who spend time at Farragut have no idea that they’re sleeping in an active paranormal camp site… until something strange occurs.
