The View is shifting its prescription yet again.

The show, which recently added Raven-Symone as a full-time co-host, is losing its fiery Rosie Perez next month, the actress announced during a segment yesterday (July 9). Perez joined the show in September, and in a teary farewell speech, said she's happy to shift her focus back to acting, but will miss the show very much, particularly Whoopi Goldberg and Nicolle Wallace.

"I am so sad to leave The View, the staff, the producers, ABC and especially these two ladies," Perez said through tears as she pointed to Goldberg and Wallace.

"I want to thank you for your friendship, Nicolle, and your intelligence and your wit and your sunshine. Whoopi, I want to thank you for everything—your guidance, your professionalism, and most of all, your friendship. It's a dream sitting here with you, and you are truly the captain of the ship."

Perez also thanked the Latina community for its support during her tenure as a panelist, and vowed to return to The View again eventually as a guest.

And when Perez waves her final goodbye, comedian Michelle Collins will assume Perez's empty seat, E! News has reported. The fan-favorite has been a recurring guest host for months, and previously hosted her own web series, Martini Minute.
