Millions of kids rely on school meals. During the school year, many low-income children have access to nutritious meals through their school’s free-and-reduced breakfast and lunch program. Unfortunately, on the weekends and summer break,  these same children go without food. Our annual MIX 106 Backpack Buddies program with the Idaho Foodbank is something that helps fill that need for so many kids in the Treasure Valley. But sometimes, the struggle is so great that other programs are needed.

If you have a school-aged student in need of FREE summer meals in your neighborhood, just text “FOOD” to 877-877 (or “comida” for a reply in Spanish).

You will receive a message back with a location closest to you! Even if you aren't in need, someone else's kids are. No child deserves to go hungry, EVER. This is a nationwide program so please share for all of the parents who are struggling to get their child/children enough food.
This is how easy it is and what it looks like when you get the instant reply.
