Being a teacher is hard work. And let's be honest, it is probably the most overlooked job. Teachers deserve more credit and more pay for shaping future generations. We used to give teachers apples and tokens as a sign of respect and appreciation. I believe more teachers should be acknowledge for the selfless, thankless job that they happily do every single day. Except for summer break, of course. That's when they deserve to lay out on an abandoned beach somewhere, drinking mimosas for 2 months until it all starts over again.

This story warmed my heart.

To motivate her 5th grade students, Mrs. Langford of New Jersey,  prepared inspirational, growth-mindset messages for every one of her students. Each personalized note was written in dry erase marker on students’ desks so they could be cleaned up prior to starting their yearly testing.

Her sweet act shows her devotion to the kids and encouraging they’re worthy of success. This kind of teacher builds bridges, opens door, and changes lives.

What do you think of this teacher’s inspirational gesture? Do you have any memories of something your teacher did that stands out to you?
