Take the Train-Loving Kids to the Boise Depot

It's holiday open house time at the Boise Depot.

They'll have trains galore, even one featuring the Peanuts gang, and you can take the kiddos to soak it all in tonight.

The Boise Depot doesn't host passenger trains anymore, but it is a great meeting space, event center, and historic site operated now by Boise Parks and Rec.  And they're hosting a holiday open house tonight.

From 5:30 to 8:30 tonight (Thursday, December 8th), they'll have model trains running, face painting by the Boise Little Theater Student Club, live music, and some seasonal eats too.  One of the trains will be Peanuts-themed, and they'll have a G-scale Holiday Express Train too.

Snowy weather tonight might make it even more Christmasy, and you'll feel like you're right there on the Polar Express!  Snow is not messy, it's magical.

After the special holiday open house tonight, the Boise Depot is open on Sundays and Mondays from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
