I completely understand that you have every right to protest and I respect that you have strong views and emotions about what has happened - obviously as a mother myself, my heart goes out to the situation. However, blocking a hospital, especially a children's center is wrong.
Even before the pandemic struck the Emergency Room was a crazy place to work. The stories and struggles I have herd are unreal. Yet for these often overlooked workforce the drama, the trauma and the stress is all too real. The Emergency Room never has a dull day, never. They have to be ready for anything, everything and every kind of person. I consider myself to be a kind and empathetic person but I could not do this job and I am impressed with those who can.
Some industries are cutting back while hospitals are being packed with patients. St. Luke's will be holding a drive-thru job fair to fill several positions. Anyone can apply for these and you don't need a degree.
