Solicitors and scammers are getting savvier these days. There's a new scam that uses your relatives to tug at your heartstrings and your wallet that you need to be aware of.

After August 5, if you try to make a call without dialing an area code you will get a recording that says to hang up and try again.
You will have to dial the full 10-digit phone number, including area code 208 or Idaho’s second area code 986, which will be issued to new users starting September 5.
