Pay It Forward

There are the people on the front lines that we all talk about. We also have a group of men and women who deliver our things so we can stay safe. You might not think about it but this group of special people did. We could learn something from these people.

Granted, the lottery win was small and the pay-it-forward deed was too, but everyone who saw it happen had a big smile on their face. Tis the season for generosity in the Treasure Valley.

I'm guessing you're probably in the place I am today. I can't shake the sadness I feel. First, the awful news of what transpired in Las Vegas. Then Tom Petty dies of a heart attack.

When I got to my office at the station this morning, I found a note sitting on my keyboard.  My first thought was, "who was in my office and why?"  I quickly learned I would be glad.

Last week, I was reminded of why this time of year is so special.  My son and I went to donate toys for Mike & Nicole The Christmas Elves, dropped off our gifts at Metro PCS, and then grabbed food at Applebee's on Eagle Road.

One act of kindness can change the world. What this man does for a veteran is so simple and life changing.

People can be so mean these days! Our first reaction is to fight back, but this woman did just the opposite. I hope I can handle my next encounter with a hater, just like she handled hers.
