Easter is this Sunday, here is a list of some of the events happening around the Treasure Valley that is both family friendly and affordable.

I love Easter Sunday. Not only for what is stands for in my life and our family, but also for the events that get the community in such a "sweet" mood. With all the chocolate covered candies and painted eggs hidden with great care, the City of Trees a literal treasure trove of Easter Events.

Here are a list of a few that you and your family should attend.

Party With The Peeps-  Saturday March 26th from 1 to 3 The Village at Meridian hosts its annual even where you can buy a rubber ducky and help raise funds for the Idaho Special Olympics.

Eggstravaganza At The Harbor Grill and Events Center-Sunday March 27th from 12-4 pm brunch, egg painting and face painting. Fun for the entire family at a great location in the city. Not to mention, and this is one of my favorite Sunday events, feeding the ducks.

Community Easter Egg Hunt at Ann Morrison Park- Saturday March 26th starting at Noon get those Easter baskets ready and get out of the way. The thousands that converge on this park is a site to see. An annual even that I was part of growing up you will most definitely want to get your lil ones involved. With over 30,000 eggs filled this will be EGGtastic.

Pool Easter Egg Hunt at The Nampa Rec Center-Saturday March 26th from 1 to 2:30 they say its spring time. So jump in the pool and dive for those Easter Eggs. This extra ordinary way of hunting for eggs will for sure be one of the highlights of the weekend. Swim trunks, candy and family time. Sounds like a perfect Sunday to me.

Easter is a wonderful time to remember our family bonds and what the holiday really means. Get out and spend some time with you loved ones in our beautiful city.
