I want to start by saying that I love the advice that you guys give for OPP and I'm hoping that you can help me. My wife's mother is in her 70's, just had knee surgery recently, and is not able to take care of herself in her own home anymore. My wife's sister lives a few hundred miles away so really we are the only option in helping her here in town. There has been a recent discussion of selling her  home and having her move in with us. She is not a terrible mother in law by any means. But my wife absolutely acts like a different person when she is around. I am really worried that her moving in will completely change our life and my wife. I have suggested other options such as hiring a caregiver so she can stay in her own home or looking at other facilities outside of her home. It has caused a few arguments so far between my wife and I because she thinks I'm being selfish. How do I get my wife to see what I see happening with this arrangement or am I just being ridiculous and need to suck it up for my wife's sake?
Thanks, Randy
