When you're a kid all you want to do is grow up and experience the freedoms that adults get, you never think about the responsibilities or stress that comes along with it. Sometimes it feels like everything is falling at once, luckily I have a great wife I can vent to about life stresses. So, last week our hot water heater went out at our home and this week it was the pump to our dishwasher.

The struggle with dealing with a dishwasher is that you have to decide quickly if you're going to try and repair the old one or just bite the bullet and buy a new one. I am frugal, but this time I decided to just purchase a new one. Having a handy-man come out would have cost half as much as a new one anyway, so we have a new dishwasher at home.

I have to count my lucky stars that replacing a dishwasher is something I have done in the past (with the help of my father-in-law). So, it wasn't as nerve-wracking as other home projects have been in the past.

Savannah was not happy about having to buy a new one but understandably excited about a dishwasher that works better than the old one. She did most of the installation herself before I realized what she was doing. So basically my wife is awesome! At this point I am just praying we don't have another home repair to deal with, the Lowe's card can only handle so much. Ugh, be a home-owner they said, it will be fun they said. :)
