Idaho is soon to have a whole lot less nuclear waste. The cost to run this plant and bring in nuclear waste to be processed here as well, all just don't make sense. So, the federal government has decided that this plant is going to be shut down. If you didn't know about the existence of this plant, it's actually pretty fascinating.

At the moment, this plant processes "items", like clothing, towels, machine parts and tools, and more that have all been contaminated with plutonium or other radioactive materials.

According to Idaho's News Channel 7, this plant employs 650 workers.
