Newbie to Boise: Hike To Blue Lake

This is only about 80 miles from Boise up north and well worth the trip. An easy day hike or you can pack in and out and stay a while! The views were serene and the day was made by taking this jaunt outdoors.

This was only a mile hike in and super easy going in. The going out is another thing because it is a little steep. A lot of folks utilize this trail but remember to always be animal aware. This lake offers a lot of structure and areas to set up camp if you desire.

We tried our hand at fly fishing and had some takes on our dry flies but couldn't get one one and needed to be out a little farther. There was still snow around and it was actually a little chilly.
