In just a couple days, a new month will signify the beginning of some new laws in the State of Idaho.  It's also the day the new budget and financial calendar begin as well.

The most widely covered legal change is the  concealed carry policy, allowing Idahoans to carry a concealed weapon without needing to obtain a license or training.

Other changes will include the a prohibition of use of fetal tissue from abortions (though none is currently known of in the state), looser punishment for people under 21 who are caught with alcohol, the ability for breweries to allow minors inside, theaters to serve alcohol, and a ban of powdered alcohol.

Public Defense reforms, laws focused on plastic bags and minimum wage, and even rape kits are included in the changes.

KBOI 2 has more on these new laws that take effect July 1, 2016.
