It doesn't get more redneck than this. A combine demolition derby and grain truck races where in almost every race a truck ends up on its side or upside down and a souped up lawn mower race..

That's right, the only difference between men and boys is the size and expense of their toys.  Every year in my hometown of Nezperce, Idaho they hold a combine demolition derby....a NASCAR style old grain truck race and a souped up lawn mower race..

Grown men fix up and paint old useless or semi-useless combines, then crash them into each other until only one is left standing.

If that isn't enough testosterone for you, they also fix up old grain trucks and race them against each other.  As you can see from the video, every year at least one or two grain trucks end up upside down.

And holy cow is this redneck tradition popular.  Nezperce has a population of about 450 people, but on Demolition/Race Day the town swells to over 5000 people. (Take it from me, that's a lot of beer drinking)

Here are highlights from the grain truck races:

Jeff Foxworthy would be proud.  "You might be a Redneck from Idaho if:  You pay money to watch a bunch of grown men crash combines and grain trucks into each other."

I was asked by the local TV station in Lewiston to do their commercial a couple years ago...take a look
