It seems like the latest trend of subscriptions is growing into something VERY cool. There's makeup boxes where you get monthly deliveries of cool cosmetics, health boxes with fabulous items for a fit lifestyle, and subscriptions like Blue Apron where you get fresh ingredients and recipes delivered to your house to cook like a pro. Well, Try the World is very similar in the fact that you receive monthly boxes sent to your home, but it's way cooler.

Try The World puts together gourmet treats and cultural items from around the world, which are hand-picked by a staff of highly selective team of travelers, curated by celebrity chefs, and produced by family-owned companies from around the world. They send the food along with a culture guide that gives a brief history about the foods included and recipes that feature the products in your box.

These aren't foods that are "similar" to what you would find in other countries. They are actually from places like France, Turkey, Spain, etc. You could be receiving a hand-made jam from a little shop near the Eiffel Tower or orange pastille candies from a boutique in Rome.

My first box includes snacks from five different countries. Costa Rica, Ecuador, Brazil, UK, and Turkey. All places that I will probably not get to see anytime soon, but I can taste the foods that are locally made!

I can't say that I enjoyed all of the items in my Try the World Snack Box, the Turkish Delights tasted a little too flowery for me...a little like licking your Grandma. But I did enjoy the Pineapple and Plantain Chips the most. They had a great flavor and crunch. The Marshmallow Popcorn wasn't bad either if you like salty and sweet. No matter whether you love them all or find a few in each box to enjoy, it's still really cool to me that these came from little shops and were locally made.

This is one of the coolest subscriptions I have seen in awhile and I can't wait to give them as gifts for the holidays!

*Try the World provided me with a free snack box in exchange for a review on my experience. All opinions remain my own.
