They always say it's not if, but when you will crash on your motorcycle and unfortunately, this accident claimed the life of a man right here in Boise.

Around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning, 52-year-old Gary Rupert was coming from eastbound I-84 to transition onto northbound Broadway Avenue when he failed to make a curve. Sources told KTVB he was forced to lay his bike down on the offramp.

Unfortunately, Gary was not wearing a helmet and the crash caused life-threatening injuries that ultimately took his life.

He was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center by ambulance but died at the hospital.

Luckily, no other vehicles were involved in the accident, and the crash remains under investigation.

Gary lived in Meridian. No word yet on the family he leaves behind, but please keep all that loved him in your thoughts and prayers and remember to wear that helmet and be super cautious on the roads. Life can completely change in an instant.
