Most of you probably know by now, that I grew up on a ranch/farm in North Central Idaho in the Grangeville, Cottonwood area. My family still raises cattle and every year they have to take the cattle from our ranch to the summer grazing area. And every year they make it a big party inviting everyone who wants to bring a horse or just show up to ride and help.

Some years there seems to be more cowboys than cows to herd, but somehow they get the cows into the summer pasture with out anybody getting seriously hurt. Don't get me wrong, there have been a few broken bones and some sore butts from being in the saddle all day, but usually nothing that a cold beer at the end of the day won't cure.

This years, trail ride was last weekend and I thought I'd share some of the pictures that my cousin and brothers took.
