Mike and Nicole’s OPP: Did I Do the Right Thing?
Dear Mike and Nicole,
Well, I'm officially that guy. The mean neighbor to the kids.
I caught three boys playing with matches at my apartment complex and had to tell their parents.
I feel terrible because one boy was slapped by his dad across the mouth in front of me VERY hard and he wasn't even the boy playing with the matches. He was just standing there. I explained that to his dad, but he popped him good in the face anyway.
It's not my place to tell anyone how to raise their kid, but if I had to do it over again and I knew that the kid was going to get it the hardest, I would have just let him go.
What do you think I should have done? I can't stop thinking about this and wish I had just kept my big fat mouth shut.
