Memorial Day Marks the Start of the “100 Deadliest Days”
Memorial Day marks the first of the "100 Deadliest Days", a time when injuries and accidents spike and when hospitals see more patients with traumatic injuries.
We’ve been cooped up all winter long and this weekend is the first for a lot of people to get away, travel, head out on the water or up to the mountains, doing activities they've been waiting all winter to do.
A few tips…
I’m going to turn into your mom right now.
Stay hydrated. Especially if you’re drinking alcohol or sugary drinks. Motorcycle and car crashes increase and a lot of times involve alcohol. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!
Wear your seat belts or helmet if you’re on a bike, don’t follow too close, and watch your speed. OK I’m done. Stay safe!
