Maybe it's the mom in me, but I can already feel the holiday stress coming on. After feeling ridiculously overwhelmed while Christmas shopping this week I found myself crawling into bed and dreaming of a full day of relaxation and pampering. No more long lines at the mall, no more wrapping gifts, no more baking, no more trying to coordinate Santa visits and holiday plays and family commitments.

I think the holidays are especially hard for us moms and, even though we usually don't make time for it, we could all use a little R&R. (Hint Hint loved ones: I'm now accepting gift certificates!)

Here are a few relaxing experiences that will make you want to throw down the wrapping paper and treat yo'self:

This full service salon and med spa is somewhat of a hidden gem. This is the only place in the Treasure Valley that offers a "Taking of the Waters" ritual including Finnish sauna, eucalyptus steam room, and mineral infused hydrotherapy pool. One time use of The Waters is only $15 or splurge on unlimited uses for $40/month.

If you haven't been to Two Rivers, you're missing out. Everything from their gorgeous location to highly trained staff will make you feel like you've hit the relaxation jackpot. Their massages are simply luxurious and an absolute must to relieve holiday stress. Start with 50 minutes of deep tissue work for $75 or splurge on a hot river stone massage ($95), guaranteed to melt away your tension.

If you don't mind a bit of a drive, Miracle Hot Springs might just be your winter oasis. The warm water of the pools will make you feel like you're on vacation. Admission is $10 for adults, but for only $4 more you can score a private pool. Need a little more than solitude? One hour of therapeutic massage at their on-site spa is under $70.

Located in Bown Crossing, Elements is a great place to sneak a quality massage into your busy day. For a little extra you can add on festive peppermint aromatherapy, integrative reflexology, or Himalayan salt stones. They also offer $20 off your first service! 1 hour massages currently starting at $99.
