Map Answers the Question: Is Idaho Really the Safest State in the US?

Idaho has not only been proven over and over to be one of the best states, but this map proves that we are also the safest state…and not just for a short time period. Idaho as you can see has been safe for more than a decade

..Not just safe, but the safest state in the whole US over the past decade. That’s right, year after year after year, since 2004 Idaho has been consistently one of the safest states every year, and if added up, Idaho over that time period is by far the #1 safest state and it’s not even a close contest.

The real estate website, Movoto, released this map which shows crime rates over a 10-year period starting in 2004. As you can see, Idaho begins as a green state in 2004 and is consistently green the entire time. As a matter of fact the color actually gets darker which means safety even improves.

The color coding on the map indicates how much higher or lower each state is compared to the national crime rate average.

I know some Idahoans hate it when I share info like this…they think out-of-staters will see it and move into our great state and screw it up some how.  Hate to say it, but I think our secret is out.
