If you haven't jumped on the ride-sharing bandwagon yet, what are you waiting for? Uber and Lyft have been amazing to use in my life lately whether its been on vacation or after having some drinks with friends. But the two ride sharing companies are trying to make it easier for people to get to their polling place on Election Day coming up on November 6th.

Lyft is offering free or at least discounted rides as of now and Uber has announced a promotion with Vote.org and TurboVote to give out a 50% discount code to people who use their mobile app.

KTVB even reported that Lyft recently reported that in 2016 close to 15 million people were registered to vote but couldn't due to transportation issues. Lyft also plans to send reminders about the upcoming promotion through push alerts on their app.

Whether you use Uber or Lyft or both it is great to see both companies putting aside profit for one day just to make sure citizens in our great country can take part in the U.S. midterm election.
