On Thursday night, Taylor Swift dropped her sixth album, 'Reputation', and fans everywhere went nuts, including my household! This is her first studio album in three years and comes with yet another change in image. There is a distinct difference in her past work and this one. Some people have been highly critical of the new sound, while others are loving her new edgy, sassy lyrics.

The album's lead single, "Look What You Made Me Do" was released back in August  and was very different from her previous style. Other singles, "...Ready for It?", "Gorgeous", and "Call It What You Want" have been released in the past two months making me realize that, even though she claims the "old Taylor is dead", she can still spin quite the catchy tune and I'm loving it.

My favorite song on "Reputation" is "New Year's Day". This romantic tune brings back memories of 2008 country-Taylor. JD and I first heard this song during a special presentation during one of our favorite shows - Scandal. Taylor took over the entire commercial break seated at the piano, surrounded by fans who were all singing along and the energy was captivating.

So far, I'm loving the new Taylor sound and anxiously awaiting more music videos in the coming months. Love her or hate her, Taylor is still going places. 'Reputation' sold 700,000 on the first day in the U.S.!
