I love and respect Katy Perry on so many levels, and I'm always interested in what she has to say about love.

She doesn't just suffer a breakup and wallow in the pain, but instead she seems to want to learn what she can from the experience and take that with her for next time.

People like that fascinate and inspire me.

For the longest time Katy didn't say much about her split from Russell Brand, but now she's opening up about that and about men in general.  She had this to say recently about her divorce from Russell Brand:

Katy told Eonline.com, "Now I know—first and foremost, self-love, and then give love away," she explains. "Back then it was mostly just me giving love away with no self-love. I went through my ‘return of Saturn,' is what they call it."

Anyone else working on their Saturn return?  Yes please.  The journals describe the "return of Saturn" as a bridge that has to be crossed to bring restructuring for the next phase of life.  In other words, a fresh start!

Katy has a song called "By the Grace of God" on the Prism album, and the lyrics say, "Was 27 surviving my return of Saturn, A long vacation didn’t sound so bad..."  The rest of the song is about putting one foot in front of the other no matter how hard it is, and getting on with life.

Love Katy Perry!  And her perfume is great too.  I'm wearing some today and working on my "roar."  Thanks Katy.
