Meet Rik Mikals – Your New Voice on MIX 106

Hi, I'm Rik Mikals - a new voice you'll be hearing on Mix 106 over the next few weeks. Don't worry, I'm going to try and make the transition as fun as possible for you and in the process, I hope we'll become great friends.

It's been awhile since I've been to the Treasure Valley, but my roots do run deep. I attended college in Nampa at Northwest Nazarene University and I spent many nights enjoying the Boise nightlife (shhh - don't tell anyone).

I've been trying to return to Boise for years, and I'm thrilled I finally get the chance by joining the Mix 106 family. It's a great station and most of all, I love the music we play.

My family is pretty excited too. Boise has grown by leaps and bounds and almost everything you could want is right here in our backyard. Plus, it's a great place to raise a family!

I'm sure you'll understand that last time you started a new job how you felt and that's exactly how I feel today. I'm elated and also intimidated. I'm sure that will soon pass as I get comfortable in the studio and with you.

Thankfully, I get to share the music and the fun with you over the next few weeks and soon we'll be friends before you know it. Did I mention I'm the biggest pop culture nut? Oh, you'll discover that by listening to the show daily. I'll be sharing the airwaves with you from 3-7 p.m. every weeknight right here on 105.9 FM!
