Is This an Alien Crash Caught on Video?

A video of an alleged UFO in Southern California started circulating online this week.  It's at night, and basically looks like a comet going across the sky.  But here's the thing;

#1 it's moving kind of slowly, which is weird.

#2 at about 15 seconds in, a small orb of light breaks off and flies away on its own.

Some people believe it was an alien spaceship crashing, and the orb was an escape pod.

Here's my question.  I do believe there is alien life and that it is possible that they visit us here on Earth, but why aren't there more videos of this particular UFO, since it was filmed in a pretty populated area of California as you can see in the video.
