What are the most dangerous and deadly spots in Idaho? How can this seemingly calm and beautiful spot located right here in Boise make the list? Some others are located very close by

Danger is unavoidable, and with a state as wild and scenic as Idaho, you can bet that there are particular cities, landmarks, roads and local spots that have a reputation for fatalities, crimes, and disasters of all kinds. Keep in mind, Idaho is in general more safe than most other states just because of population, but that doesn't mean we don't have our spots that are quite a bit more scary and dangerous than others in the state

For instance, how can a place as pretty and calming as the Boise Greenbelt, be one of the most dangerous spots in Idaho. According to onlyinyourstate.com the Greenbelt is one of the top ten most dangerous spots.  "Unlit portions, heavy foliage, and shaded corners make this beautiful daytime stroll a little less safe come nightfall. Multiple assault reports have been filed over the years, despite increased patrols."

You would think the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls would be high on the list because of base jumpers visiting the area from all over the world to jump from one of the few bridges in the world where it's legal to base jump. It is on the list, but not near the top by a long shot. the number 1 most dangerous place in the state is Arco, Idaho, home to the INL

" over 470 workers have died on the job at the Idaho National Laboratory near Arco due to chemical exposure and radiation. Unfortunately, direct contamination isn't the only factor -- Eastern Idaho's cancer rate soars above that of the rest of Idaho due to secondhand contamination, un-monitored air pollution from the INL, and millions of gallons of improperly buried and leaking radioactive waste"
