What are we doing with all the water?  Drinking it?  Watering lawns?

Water use has dropped in other states, but not in Idaho.

KTVB says there's a new study out that shows people in the Northwest are using more water than other regions in the country, and no other state consumes more water than Idaho.

That national average is 88 gallons per day per person, and in Idaho the average is 168 gallons per day per person.  Wow!  A lot of that goes into keeping a green yard, and there may be fewer water restrictions here than there are in other places where water is more scarce.  States like Texas have to keep control of water supplies, so they limit how much a home can use to keep the grass green.

Maybe we need more efficient toilets in Idaho?  Maybe we should boil less mac and cheese?  Water is still abundant here, but it's something to think about.
