Idaho seems to top list after list, but here's one we're not leading on.  Idaho ranked 22 among the 50 states in child welfare issues. 

The thing that most impacted our performance was our lackluster scores on education issues and is credited to our state's issues and shortcomings on pre-K options.

We do have some positive results though, compared to the national averages, like:

Approximately 80,000 Idaho children lived in poverty in 2014 with a 19% poverty rate compared to the national of 22%.

Six percent of Idaho children live in high-poverty areas, the national average is 14%.
