Gov. Butch Otter has declared August 7th through the 13th "Idaho Youth Robotics Week." He signed the proclamation in front of a large group of students with super smart high-tech skills. The kids are members of three different teams that took part in a robotics competition at Taco Bell Arena earlier this year.

One student from Eagle says he likes the whole problem solving aspect where you have to look at a problem and then tackle it, and then come up with multiple solutions.

Another from Caldwell made a great point, that the world is changing into ways that science and technology are becoming more prominent.

This goes to show that STEM education, science, technology, engineering and math, is very important for our kids!
