There Is No Need For Children To Go Hungry This Summer

Mix 106 has been raising raising money and food for the Idaho Food Bank for over 12 years. Kate lived on a semi for a week to fill 3 semis full of food.  Every year in August Mike and Kate host a day long on air marathon to raise money for the Foodbank's "Backpack Program".  In the past 2 years Mix 106 has helped raise over $130,000 for the program.

This is the time of year that the Idaho Foodbank serves free summer meals to those children who otherwise might go hungry.  Check below for times and places.  All children ages 1-18 are eligible! No paperwork is needed

During the months of June, July, and August, free summer meals are offered at locations throughout the Boise-metro area, Monday through Friday, June 5th through August 15th, 2014.

The Idaho Foodbank will provide the USDA’s free summer feeding program at the following locations:
