It's no surprise if you've driven through downtown Boise lately, construction job growth in the State of Idaho continues to be strong (and the Treasure Valley isn't even the strongest).

In fact, the city of Lewiston in Northern Idaho is top of the nation with construction job growth for the month of August.  This result from the group the Associated General Contractors of America which monitors metro area construction employment.

It's not just Northern Idaho though, as all five Idaho metropolitan areas are in the top 40 percent of the top metro areas in the country.  This includes Pocatello which was ranked 19th, Coeur d'Alene at 31st, and Boise and Idaho Falls both showed growth too (with 1000 new hires in Boise alone).

There's actually been a shortage of qualified construction workers due to the demand, and experts say those numbers would be higher if more people were available.

You can find more on this from the Idaho Business Review.
