As a father of 7 VERY active kids, I can attest that idle hands are the devils playground.  I sincerely believe that there is a direct correlation between kids keeping busy with sports and activities and staying out of trouble. If you feel as I do, then you can help make a difference, but you have to hurry because we need your donation before Monday's tournament.

It was very hard a lot of times to have our children involved in so many activities.  Golf, baseball, football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, rugby, student council, cub scouts, you name it, if our kids wanted to try it, we encouraged them.  Looking back, as expensive and as hard as it was sometimes, I know part of the reason that we have such great kids now, that were never in any serious trouble, and are turning out to be great productive young adults is because of what those sports were able to do for each of them.   Sports not only taught them teamwork and how to get along with other kids, but it also taught them leadership, and how to be a good team player.  And #1, it kept them out of trouble.  They didn't have time to mess around or get involved with the wrong type of people.

I'm not saying our kids are perfect, far from it, but being involved has made them better human beings.  And that is why I love First Tee Of Idaho.  For all the reasons above and more First Tee of Idaho helps to get troubled youth on the right track through golf.

This year Kate and I are helping to raise money for troubled youth by playing in the First Tee of Idaho Golf Marathon September 29th at Plantation Country Club,

Help to make a difference in a kids life.  All money raised stays right here in Idaho, it's tax deductible and Johnson and Johnson will donate $1 for every $2 raised.  The goal is to make it to $90,000 total.  We can't get there without your help, so please donate to Team Mike today.
