Are you curious how tall your 7-year old will be when she grows up?  Me too.

I think Finley may grow up to be taller than I am. Here's how we can figure it out!

First, we've got to figure out how tall we are in centimeters.

I'm 5'8" tall, and there are 30.48 centimeters in a foot.  We can figure out all that math, or we can just Google, "how many centimeters in 5'8," and it tells us I'm 172.72 centimeters tall.

The most accurate height calculator for kids seems to be this one, according to The Stir.

Boy’s target height (in centimeters) = Father’s height (cm) + Mother’s height + 13 cm, divided by 2

Girl’s target height (in centimeters) = Father’s height (cm) + Mother’s height − 13 cm, divided by 2

You can always test this using the height of your own parents and see if it's right.

With that method, Finley will be 5'9" when she grows up.  Cool!  I'm calling the Seattle Storm to let them know she's on her way.  Or maybe we'll start with the Boise Slam Basketball Club.

Happy predicting!
