Are you ready for the 2016 poop Olympics? Seriously, athletes from around the world will apparently be swimming in very unhealthy and dangerous sewage when the Olympics begin next month. Would you stick you face in this muck? Why, in 4 years hasn't it been cleaned up?

I hate being negative about the Olympics, because I really do love them.  I look forward every four years to watching America compete with the rest of the world, but Rio hosting the Olympics is really starting to be ridiculously negative no mater how you look at it

It's not bad enough that the Olympic village where most athletes will be housed is so far uninhabitable, because  of no working electricity, overflowing toilets and burst pipes. Rio Olympic officials claim all will be fixed before the start of the games in August. But they also said that 3 years ago about the water surrounding Rio where much of the water sports will be taking place and it's actually more poop filled now than it was then.

Almost 50 percent of of the raw sewage produced in this large city gets pumped directly into the water that will be hosting events such as long distance swimming, rowing, sailing and more.

I'm not a world class long distance swimmer, but there is no way in the world you would catch me with my face in that poop filled muck.

Athletes are being advised to get hepatitis A vaccinations, Polio vaccine boosters and to take the oral typhoid vaccine. Over fourteen hundred athletes will participate in events that take place in these contaminated waters and experts say there is a 99% chance of becoming infected if as little as 3 teaspoons of water is ingested.  The water is 1.7 million times more hazardous than the water around any beach in the U.S.

Dozens of athletes have already gotten sick during training leading up to the Olympic, so if you see someone getting sick during the 2016 Olympics, it's probably not because of nerves and the stress of competing
