Honor A Widow On Valentine’s Day

People love to hate on the commercialization of Valentine's Day. Instead of hating, why don't we share the love with someone who has lost a love of a lifetime.

One of our 12 listeners sent this to me today. At first I was turned off by the idea. How depressing. I immediately pictured a woman in a black veil. But then I read the article and realized how uplifting this can be; how loving; how kind. And those are all the things I love about Valentine's Day.

A widow has lost the love of their lifetime. They might be used to being cherished on February 14th. Now this day might be an empty, lonely day. Through this campaign we can change that.

I love the idea of love. And it doesn't always have to be romantic love. Showing people they are loved is one of the greatest gifts we can give.
