Glen Campbell’s Heartbreaking Final Song

One story you may have missed from this year's Oscar nominations is that Glen Campbell was nominated for an Oscar.

Glen's "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" was nominated for a Best Original Song Oscar this year. It's from his movie 'I'll Be Me' directed by Stacy Keach.  While this is pretty great for him and his family, it is also really sad, because his Alzheimer's has gotten so bad that he's in a special care facility, and he probably won't be able to attend the ceremony.

Do yourself a favor, if you haven’t seen the video or heard the song, it is one of the best songs that I heard last from all of last year.  I had a grandmother who died from complications from Alzheimer’s and the lyrics are hard hitting, heartbreaking and amazing.

The song is about his struggles with Alzheimer's.  The hardest hitting of the songs lyrics are,"You're the last person I will love/You're the last face I will recall/And best of all, I'm not gonna miss you."
