Nicole and I were asked were to read to the kids at Jefferson Elementary School today on Dr. Seuss's 113th Birthday. When we shared this Mike on the air today he made us nervous saying that we better prepare because when he went last year, it was super hard so practice was needed. So we thought we would give it a try. I've always loved reading, and reading in character has been one my favorite things to do during Facebook Fights every Wednesday morning on the Mix Morning Show. From the crazy silly voices to my fave Gloria the Puerto Rican Mami. Whichever one I choose at the time is an experience I hope that you can relate with in some way. The master of all characters Dr. Seuss has long passed but his stories and words live on through his books. The Cat in the Hat, The Fox In Socks, The Lorax, Green Eggs and Ham and so many other have all been a part of our educational experience. Right?  So getting to read back to the kids at Jefferson today was a full circle moment. I took some of the fun parts of the radio, the voices, the characters etc and put them into Dr. Seuss's story. Take a look below at the practice run from Nicole, Mike and I getting pumped up for the big read.

Ohh and I just had to thank everyone at Jefferson Elementary they made us feel soo welcomed. It was an amazing time to see so many kids excited about two silly Radio Dj's reading books to them. Memories made for sure.
