This area of the Boise has some good spots to fish and can hold some big fish as well. I was able to venture there for my first time.

There are big rainbows, bull trout and whitefish in this river. Also saw a Kokanee for my first time up close. Which means that egg patterns would have been a smart choice to attract trout. Instead I went with a pheasant tail nymph and San Juan worm. I tried to snag the salmon and net it but had no luck.

It was a cool area to see and only about an hour from the city. I hope to be exploring more areas of Idaho and more water. The South Fork was busier then I expected but as time progresses and more people are all over that is to be expected.
