If you've got someone on your list that has everything and you don't know what to get 'em, how about something truly unique and hand-crafted. And help Boise's homeless population at the same time.  The first night of the event this week is sold out, but there are still tickets left for the second night.

Interfaith Sanctuary says the Xtreme Holiday Xtravaganza sold all the tickets for the first night, but there are some left for night two.  As part of they event, they'll feature bird house art pieces made by some of Boise’s most collectible artists.  And with the cold weather and snow, the least we can do is offer up some shelter for the birds that forgot to head south for the winter.  There are lots of other auction items up for bid too, from some great Boise restaurants, clubs, and hotels.

The Xtreme Holiday Xtravaganza happens this Wednesday and Thursday at the Egyptian Theater, and it's Interfaith Sanctuary’s largest year-end fundraiser.  One hundred percent of the proceeds of ticket sales and silent auction sales fund the emergency shelter offers a safe place to sleep, a warm meal and case management to 164 guests a night.

They're expecting the second night to sell out too, so don't wait too long to grab the tickets.  Oh, and they've also got the tree lighting coming up Saturday at the shelter and there's more about that here on our website.

If you're off work or out of school, or you have family in town this week and you're looking for things to do, we'll keep the ideas coming.
