I am not a big fan of remakes and to some extent sequels or prequels.  They just don't very often live up to the original.

For instance I really liked Jeff Bridges and "True Grit", but it doesn't come close to being as good as the original with John Wayne.  Same for Red Dawn with Patrick Swayze.  The original was good, the remake was pure garbage.

I loved all the Mad Max movies with Mel Gibson.  And Each one of the sequels were better than the previous.  When I heard they were doing a remake of Mad Max, I was less than thrilled.  Until I saw the trailer that was recently released at Comic-con in San Diego.

After seeing the trailer, it looks like the director captured the essence of the original while still being new, and as much as I hate to admit it, the trailer is AWESOME and now I can't wait for the remake of Mad Max.  Plus I love Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.

I just hope "Mad Max Fury Road" doesn't do like all other remakes and totally disappoint me again.
