It's not just your friends that are reading your Facebook posts.

Sometimes police are too.

Hopefully you don't have any warrants out for your arrest, but if you do, police might be checking your status to see where you are.

Maybe you saw the note in the Idaho Statesman that 22-year old Joey Patterson  of Boise had a felony arrest warrant out for several months on a probation violation.  And then he posted on Facebook that he would be at the Armory Park softball field in Caldwell, and police were there to arrest him.

While the rest of us are on Facebook liking pictures of each other's kids, vacations, and martinis, detectives are looking for clues.  Just a friendly reminder that social media posts are public!
