A popular park in the Treasure Valley is getting an added incentive for residents to check it out this Spring and Summer time. Eagle Island State Park which houses many summer time activities such as Water Parks, Frisbee Golf, Volley Ball courts, swimming pools and ponds will now be more accessible thanks to a new entrance.

The new entrance which is located off State Street and Highway 44 just west of Eagle Road will increase the visibility of the park. The plans for this new entrance has been a long time in the making. Ten years the City of Eagle has fought to get the construction and work finished. 24 million dollars was spent on the hope that the new entrance will increase the amount of visitors to the park. A new Zip Line attraction is set to open later in the Spring. Although the park is not completely finished the hope is that by 2019 everything will be fully realized with new water ponds, RV parks and camping areas and many more attractions yet to be announced.

Will you make a trip over to Eagle Island State Park now that the weather is warmer?
